Nintendo News: 30.05.2016 - 03.06.2016

Hello and Welcome to Dillians Nintendo News Recap.

Yeah... not much going on this week, except for the newest Pokemon trailer and Splatoons Anniversary. Still it was a good week to be a Nintendo fan... just not release wise.

New Releases:

  • Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble – Virtual Console (New Nintendo 3DS)
  • Kick & Fennick – Wii-U Download-Software

Well two games is still better than no games, am I right? But let's not kid ourselves. This week is absolutely catastrophal. Donkey Kong Country 3 is a great game, but it's already on the Wii-U (remind me why a Virtual Console, which spans across all Nintendo Consoles is still not a thing) and Kick & Fennick, doesn't look to interesting. I'm not a huge fan of it's artstyle. Well let's hope that it will get better.

Splatoon:

One year ago Splatoon launche worldwide and took it by Storm. Especially in Japan the game was a gigantic hit. 4,27 Million sales worldwide are a testament to Nintendos brand power and hopefully the Kidsquids will stay with us for a long time. Of course Nintendo celebrated Splatoons first birthday with lot's of announcements. First up we got confirmation that a second wave of new weapons is headed to the game.

But that is not all. On the 7th of July Japan will also be graced by a new Splatoon Bundle, containing a Wii-U, the game and both Squid Sister Amiibos. This will cost 37.000 Yen, which is roughly 300€. Let's hope this bundle will also come to the rest of the world.

The next announcements are also Japan specific, but it wouldn't surprise me if some of them also made it to the West.

Splatoon Live in Makuhari – A Squid Sisters Live Album containing songs from their two live concerts, as well as demo versions of new songs. It will also contain a booklet and a cover, which was designed by the Games designers themselves. It releases on 13th of July and costs 2.700 Yen (~22€).

New Merchandise – T-Shirts, hats and more were also announced to release in July.

Tower Records – The Movie and Music retailer put out a teaser for a mysterious Splatoon Event on the 24th of June.

Of course the Splatoon anniversary was also celebrated by Fans all over the world. I hope you all still enjoy the game, because I definitely do.

We also got a date for the next Splatoon Update, which contains the new weapons and also some Arena adjustments. It will release on the 8th of June and is mandatory for future online play. The size of the Update is 768 MB so make sure you have enough room.

Also the third live concert of the Squid Sisters was announced. And for the first time the two idols will travel outside of Japan. The concert will take place on the 8th of July at the Japan Expo in Paris.

Nintendo:

When Nintendo announced that this year Zelda U will be the only playable game at e3 many fans were upset. And rightfully so. When they also announced that there won't be a Digital Event and only a Nintendo Treehouse Livestream it didn't help to calm the masses. Well e3 is less than two weeks away and we got some information about the Live Stream and Nintendos presence at the show floor. It still is not stellar, but better than feared.

On Tuesday the Stream starts at 9.am PT with a first look at the new Pokemon Editions Sun and Moon. After that we'll finally get the unveiling of the newest Zelda adventure. The stream will be completed with developer commentary and an extended look a the Show floor.
On Wednesday everything starts at 10.am PT with a special Pokemon Go Q&A Sessions and then continue with gameplay of upcoming titles like Tokyo Mirage Sessions#FE, Monster Hunter Generations, Dragon Quest VII and others.

Also Nintendo has booked the same space on the show floor as in previous years, so nobody should worry about playing the new Zelda. There will be more than enough space.

The Legend of Zelda:

While there is no shortcoming of Zelda Merchandise there can never be enough, and after an official Zelda Monopoly it was only a matter of time till the series got another special version of a well known board game. This time it's chess and it looks quite good to be honest. The set contains:

Heroes:
  • Link (King)
  • Zelda (Queen)
  • Impa (Bishops)
  • Epona (Knights)
  • Darunia (Rooks)
  • Navi (Pawns)

Villains:
  • Ganon (King)
  • Twinrova (Queen)
  • Iron Knuckle (Bishops)
  • Phantom (Knights)
  • Armos (Rooks)
  • Dekunut (Pawns)

The edition is described as collectors item so the price may be a little high.

Mario Maker:

Well that was certainly unexpected.

Tokyo Mirage Sessions#FE:

For once let's not concentrate on the censorship issue and just take a look at the newest Tokyo Mirage Sessions#FE trailer, which shows us the darker side of the colorful pop idol world this title is portraying. Of course I'm not talking about real life issue like possible exploitation of young talents, but demons. Lots and lots of demons. Here is the story trailer:

Pokemon:

This weeks Pokemon news are of course headlined by the newest trailer of Pokemon Sun and Moon, which gave us our first look at the new Alola region and introduced some characters. You can check out my Trailer Watch here: http://dilliansthoughthub.blogspot.co.at/2016/06/trailer-watch-explore-alola-region-in.html
Or just scroll down.

Of course this wasn't everything and we also got some more news.
First up is the announcement that Pokemon Series Main Producer Junchi Masuda will be present at the Japan Expo on Paris and celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Pokemon franchise together with it's fans.

Next up is the information that the mythical Pokemon Manaphy can now be downloaded via the Nintendo Network in Pokemon X/Y and OR/AS. Just head to the main menu, select Mystery Gift then receive Gift and get via Internet. Your new Manaphy then can be collected in game in the next Pokemon Center.

And lastly we have a curios case from Hong Kong, where the name change of several Pokemon has sparked some unrest. Hong Kong and mainland China use different versions of Chinese and because of that the names of Pokemon and even the word Pokemon are written differently.
Now Nintendo has announced that with the start of Pokemon Sun and Moon China, Taiwan and Hong Kong will share the same names and writing. Because of that several Hong Kong based Pokemon fans gathered before the Japanese embassy to protest. They fear that this is another step by the government in Peking to ban Cantonese Chinese, which is spoken in Hong Kong.
So a well meant idea to unify the names in all of China has backfired.

Kirby:

Finally let us wrap up this week with two new videos of our good friend Kirby. First off we have a new (very awesome) trailer and then we can join Kit and Krysta in an all new Nintendo Minute. Enjoy.

And that was it for this week. Enjoy your games and enjoy the weekend.

And as always

Trailer Watch: Explore the Alola Region in Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon!

A new Pokemon Trailer out of fucking nowhere... not that I'm complaining. This time we got an extended look at the two new legendary Pokemon and the Alola region, so let's hop right in and watch the trailer.

Game Freak also released some Japanese Mini Trailer, which showed mostly the same, but also some new scenes. Sadly I can't read or speak Japanese, so analyzing them is out of the picture. But our trailer also contained pretty exciting stuff overall. Both, Solgaleo and Lunala, are well designed and offer interesting Type combinations. But let's start with the poster Pokemon for Sun.

Surprisingly Solgaleo doesn't have the Fire Type but instead spots the Psychic Steel combination. It's ability Full Metal Body makes it immune against other abilities with stat lowering effects like intimidate.
An interesting fact is the great detail the designers put into it's signature attack Sunsteel Strike. The way Solgaleos body lights up and his mane rises... This will probably stay exclusive to the signature attacks of the two Legendaries, but maybe it's a sign of even more fluently animated battles between Pokemon.

Next up is Lunala which has the Psychic Ghost type combination. It's ability Shadow Shield works the same as Solgaleos Full Metal Body.
Also the same goes for Moongeist Beam, which looks great.

Apart from that I have not much to say about the new Legendary Pokemon. Their design is good. As for their role in the Story I don't want to speculate. Especially with the little information we have, so I'll let it be for now.

The next part is much more interesting anyway. Because now we get our first look at the games overworld, the Alola region.

As we can see the region consists of four main islands and a artificial one in the middle. Interestingly Hawai, the real life counterpart of Alola, consists of eight bigger main islands, so maybe this isn't all of Alola and there is more to come. It would also make sense to have one Arena per Island. But for now let's take a look at the four unveiled islands.

On the northwestern side we see a familiar sight. The Island which we already saw in the reveal trailer. I already talked about most on the Island in my first Trailer Watch, but two things shouldn't go unmentioned. First there is a structure hidden in the forest on top of the island.

And one the left side of the Island we don't have another village, like I suggested in my earlier Trailer Watch, but what seems to be a mansion (the huge building with the purpleish roof). The building with the blue roof next to it could be a Pokemart. My guess would be that this is the first Gym of the new adventure.

Next let us turn our attention towards the island on the southwest. This place looks mostly deserted apart from the interesting looking port a the south end. Maybe it even houses a whole city. This becomes more likely if you take a closer look at the red building at the left side of the structure, which is most likely a Pokemon Center.

A little bit north of the Port we can spot a structure that looks like some ruins, before reaching a fork in the road. If we head further north we reach a pretty vulcanic looking. The black stone and what seems to be steam emitting from one of the craters, show that this part of the Island is still ''active''.
The last two interesting parts of this island are first the huge tree on the northern coast. It wouldn't surprise me if you could enter it and if it would contain this islands Gym. There is no other structure, which could house a Gym on the island after all.

The other interesting thing brings us back to the ruins I mentioned earlier. If you turn left after passing them you'll enter a rocky valley leading you to a strange triangle shaped monolith. I'm pretty sure that this huge structure is where we encounter the legendary Pokemon. (Be it for the first time or to catch them.) If you take a look at the Sun/Moon reveal trailer you can see Solgaleo and Lunala appearing in front of huge structure, which has a similar form.

The presence of the ruins and the fact that there is barely any civilization there makes this island a perfect place for the legendary Pokemon.

Next up is the north eastern island which is a huge step up in civilization from the previous one. Once again let us start a the southern coast, where we see a small island which is set in front of the main one. On there we can spot a small settlement, but not much more.

Slightly to the north we see another, bigger, settlement. This city is home to two bigger buildings, but there is not enough detail to tell what they are for. Though it wouldn't surprise me if one of them was a Gym.

So for now let us follow the street along the coastline of the island. After a short while we reach a white breach crossing the bay and leading us to another settlement at the south eastern side of the island. First I thought the brown reddish structure next to it is just a mountain, but with closer inspection it seems to be man made. But I can't say what it is.

Directly north to it is, what seems to be, the biggest city on the island. Two buildings there have sparked my interest. The huge blue building could very well be another Gym, or possibly a Laboratory for geothermal research. The mountains to the north seem to be quite active, with the whole steam and such emitting from them, and it would make sense if the Alola region used this activity to generate power. Also next to the blue building another one can be seen. This one is surrounded by lots of Grey color, which immediately made me think of an industrial area. Maybe they use the geothermal energy from the mountains to power their industry.

The last interesting part about this island, apart from the small town in the forest on the western side, lies at the north western coast. A series of (hot?) springs flowing down across a terrace like structure.
And lastly just north of that landmark we can spot two more houses.

Now let us move to Alolas biggest island found in the south east. We start at the place, where you most likely will start your adventure on this island, the city on the eastern side. The most interesting thing there is the park containing the huge tower like structure. This could be modeled after the Aloha Tower on Hawaii, which greets incoming ships at Honolulu harbor. Here it could serve as battle tower or Gym. Apart from this Landmark the city doesn't sport anything special, but the rest of the island is packed full with interesting sights.

It sports two huge mountains, so let us start with the smaller one in the north. On top of it we see an interesting looking building. I think this could be another Gym, simply because of the fact that a Pokemon Center is also present at the top of this mountain. The red roof slightly below the building is unmistakable. The mountains on this island are clearly inspired by Mauna Kea, Hawaiis highest volcano. Mauna Kea is one of the worlds most favorable locations for astronomical observations. So maybe this building on top of the mountain serves as observatory. It would certainly fit the Name of the games.

Next let us focus our interest towards the north western coast of the island. It seems to be a town enclosed by a wall. Maybe this was build to keep invading wildlife outside, but I have another theory. I think this town is based upon a leper colony. Hawaii is home to one of the more famous leper colonies, Kalaupapa. Of course a Pokemon Game won't directly reference something like that, but it's possible that this settlement was inspired by this.

If we then move south through the jungle we find a strange structure. It seems to be a stone ring enclosed by water. Next to it is something that looks similar, but without water.

After leaving the forest we see a Pokemon center and white bottle like structure.

The next interesting landmark is at the south end of the island. A big house on top of a hill. Interestingly the beach south of it seems to be pretty dead. At least it looks that way. Maybe the mansion houses the Ghost or Dark Type Gym. Also in the water south west of it we can spot a square stone structure.

Now let us take a look at the biggest feature of the island. The huge mountain in the middle of it. On it's southern base we can spot a Pokemon Center. If we follow the path east this then leads through a barren plane (with the exception of the small oasis in the middle) and towards another larger building with purple roof.

Directly north of the Pokemon Center we can see another structure, which seems to be some kind of way of getting up the mountain, because we can see the exact same structure on top of the mountain slightly to the right.

On the peak there is another Pokemon Center and lots of snow. Something that I found interesting is the fact that the snow on the northern end of the mountain is ''bluer'' than the rest. Maybe another settlement hides beneath the ice. It certainly would make for an interesting sight.

And now for the finish let us turn our attention towards the eastern side of the mountain. There we can spot a big desert. Interestingly some of the sand seems to flow down towards the purple house in the south. So maybe there is something like a waterfall made out of sand...a sandfall.

There are also three tower like structures next to the desert on the right side, but I can't tell what they're for.

And now as finish let us talk about the artificial island in the middle of the region. I think this is the location of this games Pokemon League. It would make sense.

Also on the north eastern edge of the picture we can spot a small island partially covered in clouds, but we can't see enough to get definitive clues of the function it serves.

Lastly let us talk about the transportation. On the picture we can spot several ships traveling between the island and I think this will also be the means for the player to change from one island to another. I don't think we'll use our Pokemon for that. The ocean between the islands seems rather empty. There is no sign of the countless rock formations, which would need to exist to restrict the players movements between the islands. I think surfing on our Pokemon will be restricted to the parts of the Island, where such barrier rocks exist.

That was that and now lets continue with the Trailer. Next up is something which we already knew from the Japanese Trailer. Character customization returns and it's great. Let's hope that you can also change your clothes once again.

Next up are characters. We start with the newest Pokemon Professor Kukui. He is named after the Candlenut which was used in ancient Hawaii as a lightsource. The high oil content of the fruit allows it to be used as candle.
Kukui is the protagonists cousin, which we know from the earlier trailer .He seems to dress rather casually and another interesting detail about him is the wedding ring on his left hand.

Then we have Kukuis assistant Lillie, which is the German name for lily, so the flower theme continues. She has quite the stern look, which makes her a natural opposite to Kukuis casual appearance. Also it's pretty much a given that she will play a bigger part in the story. Maybe you'll even have to battle her at some point.

And lastly there is Hau your friend and rival. It's clear that Game Freak is once again going the route of friendly rivalry. Like in the first trailer he gives of a carefree vibe and seems to be quite cheerful. The person next to him, which I thought would be the Professor of this game, could be his father, or what I think is more plausible, the first Gym Leader.

This already brings us to the last part of this Trailer Watch. Your Pokedex now is home to a Rotom, which powers it. It is described as a completely new way of Pokemon and Humans to communicate. This has interesting implications. Maybe your Pokemon will be able to tell you directly, what they think. Maybe your Pokedex will be able to battle. Rotoms other forms are able to do that. At least we got a look at one of the new functions on one of the Japanese Mini Trailers.

It seems that the lower screen of our 3DS will serve as a kind of navigation system, always showing you were to go next.

And that concludes this Trailer Watch.

How Multiplayer could work in Zelda U

Sorry for the one day delay, but I was pretty busy yesterday and didn't get the chance to post. But let's not dwell in the past for too long and look forward instead. In less then two Weeks Zelda U will finally be fully unveiled and change the world as we know it. Or at least prove to be a damn good game. When The Legend of Zelda Producer Eiji Aonuma first talked about changing the conventions of the Zelda series he especially mentioned two things.

Link between Worlds answered the first question brilliantly and showed the potential of an Open World Zelda, although it's world was pretty small. It also introduced a long forgotten concept back into the series. Strong enemies as natural limitations. You could explore all of Death Mountain from the start of A Link between Worlds but the Lynels will quickly toast you. I hope this concept will also be used in the upcoming Zelda U.

But the thing I want to focus on today is the second convention. Does Zelda need to be a single player only game? Well the answer basically got already answered several times by Four Sword, Four Sword Adventure and Triforce Hereos. But how could Multiplayer work in classic 3D Zelda Adventure? Because several problems arise. If the game isn't build from the ground up to support co-op play then a second player may make certain puzzles, dungeon or even the whole game trivial. On the other hand it would be really hard to solve puzzles, specially designed for co-op play, alone if there is currently no second player at hand.

A solution for this problem would be specially designed Extra Dungeons, which can only be entered together with a second player. Sort of like Portal 2 had two campains. One for single player and one for co-op play. But then there is the danger of having the game feel disjointed.

Of course any form of Multiplayer in a Zelda game will face challenges, but also offer the possibility of a new experience. So here are three ideas how it could work in Zelda U.

The Helpful Fairy:

This idea is inspired by the Multiplayer in the Mario Galaxy games, and certainly would be the weakest implementation. But I also think this is the most likely. It would offer everything Nintendo likes. Local only Multiplayer. Easy implementation. The possibility for Non-Gamers to enjoy the game.
The basic breakdown of this idea is, that while player number One controls Link with the Wii-U Gamepad, another player controls a Navi like fairy with the Wii-Mote. Just point at wherever she should fly. This companion could pick up items, activate buttons or levers and stun smaller enemies.

It's a simple approach and easy to understand, but of course it would be quite lackluster. It would grow dull quickly. I can't think of anyone I know who has ever tried the Multiplayer in Mario Galaxy, which worked in the same way as this idea.

The good thing about this idea would be that it's easy to understand and practically anyone can hop right in. As we all know that is something Nintendo absolutely loves, but I'm not sure that Zelda is the right place for this. Still it would be the easiest and fastest way to implement a Multiplayer experience into a 3D Zelda.

The Duo:

Next up is an idea, which would prove to be a great integration of co-op, but I fear that it could make Single Player quite tedious. Here Link would be accompanied by a second Character (Zelda?) all the time. Whenever you play alone the computer would control the other character. Maybe they could even allow you to switch between Link and Zelda to capitalize on their unique talents. And if you have a friend he can take control of one of the characters.

Of course here we'd have the problem I talked about earlier regarding the difficulty of the game. If the computer controlled characters aren't smart enough a human teammate could trivialize the game. Also constant switching between characters in Single Player could become quite tedious.

Still I think this would be the best way of implementing a Multiplayer into Zelda. It would allow new and exciting puzzles and Dungeon designs.
As an example there could be a dungeon splitting up Zelda and Link. Zelda is sent into the past, while Link remains in the present. Now everything Zelda changes in the past, also changes the dungeon in the present. Both players (or one player switching between the characters) have to work together to progress. For example Zelda could sabotage an important energy conduit, so that it breaks down after several years, which would lead to the destruction of several robotic enemies in the present. Or maybe she can decide whether to pic up a treasure, which would activate it's guardian, creating an obstacle for Link in the present, or leave it be.

And that's only one idea I came up with on the fly. Just imagine what imaginative dungeons Nintendos team could create. It certainly would be quite demanding and not easy to pull of, but this idea really could make for a great Multiplayer 3D Zelda.

The Invader:

Lastly we have another idea I took from a successful game. This time it's Dark Souls. The Idea here is that your World could be invaded by hostile players or you could summon friendly players to help you. This would also allow for a further segregation of difficulty. If the game or a dungeon is too hard for you, you could use a special item to invite a random player (or a friend) to help you. This player would get some materials or items as a reward.
On the other hand if you equip a special ring (just as an example) you could get invaded by Dark Links. These hostile players can then track you down and attack you. If you kill them you'd get some rare materials or items, but if they manage to beat you they'll get them instead.

Another advantage of this idea is that the dungeons and world don't have to be created from the ground to support co-op play. There are also enough ways of avoiding the trivialization of the game. For exampe the helping player could only fight enemies, but not interact with any switches or levers. This way you'd still have to solve most of the puzzles alone, but would have someone to watch your back while you do that.

On the other hand getting invaded in a dungeon, could create for an intense game of cat an mouse. You'd have to watch out for ambushes or maybe plan an ambush yourself.

I would prefer Number 2 or 3, but I think, if Multiplayer is integrated into Zelda U, it will be something similar to Number 1.

So what are your thoughts about this matter? Which idea would you prefer or do you have an idea of your own? Do you even want Multiplayer in Zelda U?

Nintendo News: 23.05.2016 - 27.05.2016

Hello and Welcome to Dillians Nintendo News Recap.

While we may not got any huge game releases this week, it at least provided us with some intersting News.

New Releases:

  • Smash Cat Heroes – Nintendo 3DS Download-Software
  • Infinite Dunamis – Nintendo 3DS Download-Software
  • Mario Slam Basketball – Virtual Console (Wii-U)
  • Futuridium EP Deluxe – Wii-U Download-Software
  • Epic Word Search Collection 2 – Nintendo 3DS Download-Software

Well nothing huge this week, but it's a good selection nonetheless. As always Indies and the Virtual Console are keeping Nintendo (barely) afloat. Mario Slam Basketball is from a time, where Mario Sport Games still incorporated imaginative stages. I'm looking at you Mario Tennis Ultra Smash. Infinite Dunamis looks like it came straight from the Super Nintendo, but if you like such old school RPGs you can give it a try.

Miitomo:

After its start in March we heard about the huge success of Miitomo. At launch it was Number 1 on both, the the apple store and Googles Play Store, and a consistent mainstay in the Top 5 afterward. This week the website Survey Monkey released a study looking at the longtime success of Miitomo. They used the mobile hits Clash Royale and Candy Crush Saga as comparison.

If we take a look at the first picture, we can see that Miitomo had an impressive launch, probably because of Nintendos brand power. But afterward this was followed by a pretty step decline.

The next graph shows us that there wasn't only a decline in download numbers, but also in interest from players, who already owned the app. It looks like Nintendo didn't manage to create enough incentive to start the app every day.

And lastly we see a continuous decline in active users. This is especially hard to counter for a social app like Miitomo. When you friends stop playing it's normally only a matter of time till you stop playing, which creates a chain reaction that is hard to stop.

Of course it has to be seen if this trend continuous or if Nintendo is able to counter act, but for now this survey proves what many Miitomo Users have been complaining about. The social app doesn't provide enough ''Meat'' to stay engaged.

Nintendo:

One of the last decisions from past Nintendo President Satoru Iwata was the stronger focus on merchandising Nintendo IPs. We have seen fruits of this wish already with the announced partnership between Universal and Nintendo for Theme Park rides or the more surprising merchandise like Pokemon lingerie. This news falls into the second category. Merchoid has teamed up with Nintendo to provide us with Nintendo Swimmwear. So if you looking to cool off at the beach or wherever you can do it in Style.

Kirby:

Kirbys newest 3DS adventure is only weeks away now and Nintendo has started its marketing for the title in the Us. Here is the first commercial and I have to say that I think it's quite good. With Nintendos questionable history in that department I think we can count that as a victory.

One Thing Kirby games are known for is their countless extra modes. Boss Rush, Gourmet Race, etc. Planet Robobot isn't an exception with Team Kirby Clash and Kirby 3D Rumble. After we got some insight into the RPG inspired Team Kirby Clash in the last couple of weeks this week our friends at GameXplain got the chance to give us a brief glimpse ad Kirby 3D Rumble. Enjoy.

And lastly, but certainly not least, the Japanese Website of the game was updated with several pieces of concept art showing us how the Developers envisioned the new game. It's certainly interesting and when you finally have the game be sure to keep an eye out for any similarities.

Star Fox:

Even though Star Fox Zero was met with mixed reviews many Nintendo Fans were still happy to see the return of Fox McCloud. I also enjoyed the game greatly, even though it has some major flaws.
In the past couple of days Nintendo has released a three part interview on their website, which takes a in depth look at the development of the title. It's quite a long, but interesting read and if you want you can take a look here:

Mario Maker:

Mario Maker continuous to be supported by Nintendo, even if it's only in the form of new costumes. A new trailer is now introducing two very familiar faces.

Tokyo Mirage Sessions#FE:

While my excitement for this title has taken a huge bump because of the rampant censorship the game itself looks still like it will be a lot of crazy Japanese Fun. Yesterday there has been a big preview event for the title at the Nintendo World Store in New York and some interesting gameplay material has surfaced. Take a look:

Pokemon:

There has been a huge wave of information about Pokemon Go in the last couple of days, and of course I don't want to keep this hidden from you. The official page of the Smartphone App has been updated and we got a lot of insight into how Pokemon Go will work. I have compiled the information for you, but if you want to read all you can do it here: http://www.pokemon.com/us/pokemon-video-games/pokemon-go/

  • Your Trainer Avatar will be fully customizable and other players will see you, when they visit a Gym you control
  • Your Trainer Level determines what Pokemon you'll be able to catch. Higher Levels will also give you access to rarer items like better Pokeballs.
  • Raise your level through traveling and Pokemon encounter.
  • If you catch several Pokemon of the same species one of them may evolve.
  • You can find Pokemon Eggs at PokeStops, giving you access to completely new Pokemon.
  • After some time you'll be asked to join one of three teams.
  • Battle against the other teams and claim Gyms as your own.
  • Pokemon have two attacks in battle, but you also can make them dodge attacks by swiping left or right.
  • There are many achievement medals you can earn in the game via battle, exploration and collecting Pokemon. Try to get them all.
  • Pokemon Go Plus is a device, which allows you to enjoy Pokemon Go even when not looking at your Smartphone. It's an accessory which allows you to catch Pokemon and informs you of nearby events.
  • Pokemon Go will be free to play, but also feature in App purchases to further enhance your experience.

Along with this information we got a lot of screenshots, which provide us with a good look at the game.

Zelda:

In less than three weeks we'll finally get our first extended look at the newest Zelda adventure for Wii-U and NX. Nintendo will focus 100% on this game during this years e3. But that is not all. 500 lucky Fans will be able to play the newest Title at a gameplay presentation at Nintendos World Story in New York. So the first 500 people to get into the Store on the 11th of June will be able to register for this event. To everyone in New York, who wants to try. Happy Camping!

But that is not all Zelda related news this week because we also got some new videos of the impressive Ocarina of Time Project using the Unreal Engine 4. Enjoy and give the creator CryZenx a thumbs up.

And that was it for this week. Enjoy your games and enjoy the weekend.
